Should you jump onto the email marketing trends bandwagon? After all, these are not hard guidelines, but rather “best” practices that others have stumble on to in their work. There is no one formula to target a large unknown audience. There is, however, data on what your audience tends to do with the emails you send out.
You want to make sure that your emails resonate with your customers need. Here are some of the new trends that will be good to follow.
Send Value-Filled Emails
Who doesn’t have a list of contacts that receive email newsletters? All companies do and they do a good job of sending out newsletters to all of them. Some more valuable than others. With so much spam (and not the good kind) making its way into inboxes, customers want emails that are worth their time. Email containing ways to save time and money are ones customers tend to open. Remember to keep the content original and interesting, or else they don’t get read.
If you send emails to your lists everyday, they will 1) unsubscribe or 2) put you down as SPAM. Going back to the earlier trend, people are trying to de-clutter so even if you have great content, if you are sending emails out every hour, that’s not gonna look good to your customer.
Email Marketing Trends Show Customers Like Interaction
Quizzes in the email. Quick Response Time. The ability to read your emails from a mobile device. These are the kinds of things that your subscribers like. You can embed quizzes, or questionnaires so that they don’t have to go to another site. When they respond to your email, they expect it to be quick (like Twitter fast!) and they want it in their phones. The ability to read emails on a mobile device makes a big difference between gaining that lead and losing them.
Those are just a few of the trends and they are pretty self-explanatory. If you are looking to make your email marketing better, or looking for a more responsive site, visit us at Tractus Online and we will be more than happy to help!
