I attend marketing user groups when I run out of ideas. There are so many tools and technologies available out there that keeping up with them is almost impossible. But there are those that use great tools and they like to share how it has helped them in there marketing endeavors. Whether it is a new company or a well-established corporation, digital marketing trends forces you to always be up to date.

Networking with Other Professionals
Marketers can get stuck in their ways pretty easily. Your marketing team can be your closest friends, but you also want to spic up what you do with your campaigns. User groups connect you to other professionals in your field. It is more than a cocktail hour, but actual connection with others that may be going through the same obstacles you are at work. In sharing stories, you can meet a possible client, or a connection to a bigger one. Sometimes, it is just nice to know that someone else is going through the same crazy stuff that you are.
After you have chit-chatted with other people, it is time to learn. The topics range from tutorials and product training, or simply a question and answer forum from an industry leader. The best ones teaches you and help you apply what you have just been taught so that you can how you will integrate it in your current work.
