Optimize LinkedIn for your Target Audience
You can’t just throw stuff together and hope that it works. A well-thought profile will contain elements from your marketing research about your company’s target personas. Your company’s summary and contact info should be placed where customers will be able to see them.
All the information your persona would want should be accessible and lead to the person that will be able to answer any of their questions. Keep your summary short and make sure to engage your audience using content that will generate some buzz. You can do this by posting trending articles, etc.
Get the Right Image Size
Key to an optimize LinkedIn account are images. According to Hubspot, when people hear information, they’re likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retained 65% of the information three days later. This applies to everything, from your cover photo, to your profile picture and the content that you produce. Making sure that you have images help in telling your brands’ story for people to remember you.
Before you post, ask yourself, is the image skewed? Is it helping my audience get to know what I have to offer. Is it cutting off anything that is a big part of my story? Personalize your Introduction
Nothing is worst than a stranger creeping in on your business. Likewise, if you are running your company’s LinkedIn account, you should follow some rules. This is most important when connecting with or introducing yourself to a client. Always include a personalized introduction when you are connecting with someone. Even though LinkedIn tells you it’s optional, always let your new connection know who you are and why you are contacting them. A seasoned LinkedIn user will always take the time to send a personalized message and they always get a response.
With over 144 million subscribers, LinkedIn is definitely THE business and professional network that you want to focus on when finding clients. It is important to know that there are some stragglers in the network and in order to weed them out, an optimize LinkedIn profile is key to that.
